RIO Skagit Leader

The Skagit Leader is the ultimate tapered leader for delivering big, heavy flies typically used with skagit shooting head systems. Its short overall length and abrupt taper give this leader the most  powerful turnover possible so none of the energy generated during the cast is sacrificed in the final few feet. 

These leaders can also be used effectively as a base leader for pike.  Simply attach a barrel swivel to the end of the leader and RIO's Wire Bite Tippet to the other side and finish the leader off with a RIO Twist Clip and you're golden.  This also provides a breaking point in your leader should you have a snag.
